Okay, The Picture was taken from one of my friends on FB.
Maybe I'm blind but I look at this and don't see it as something racist. Maybe it's because I don't look at a person by their color or anything else!
It took someone telling me that a long long time ago African American's were called something with a monkey referenced in the statement.
Why is it that as we live in this world with our new President who speaks of how far we have come; that we have to still deal with such things like this today!
Am I the only one who feels that we all bleed red blood! Some of which is being poured out now on foreign soil? If everyone and I do mean everyone put as much passion as they do with remarks about this cartoon into things like fixing our current economic problems, I feel we would take a huge step at truly letting go of the past and moving forward as Americans whether you are black or white!
When I found this picture posted it had all kinds of comments. I have friends of all colors and as I said above we all bleed red! Maybe it's just me but I really feel that if we put as much passion into "getting along with each other" and not blaming history on what is happening today we may just find the Peace that all of us seek to begin with.
Understanding what we don't know about is the first step at finding that harmony that a wise man said in a speech not too many years ago! Knowledge is power and we all have the freedoms that we have because of special people who spoke up when no other would lead.
There will come a day when we will know it all and that will be when we face our God as we enter into the gates of heaven. Until then I am being led to say there is a scripture in the bible that says "Judge not least ye be judged" so with this said the next time you feel that you are better than anyone else remember your not. We are human with human emotions that seem to lean more to negative actions these days.
Take time to love one another no matter the color of your skin! Don't blame others for the way you feel! Passion is a trait that can be used to uplift your fellow man or woman! Yes, we have the freedom of speech because of that red blood that has been spilled by many men and women from our past! All of us have a past that needs to be let go and take in what our President said about reaching out to one another and doing your part to help in this time we are in now.
Thank you for taking time to read this note and remember the next time you feel there is nothing you can do to change what's going on in the world today, it took a few people who's skin colors were both black and white and who's life's ended bleeding RED!
