Venting Time!!!

I have been out of work since Oct. 22nd 2008 and I fine myself amazed by the reactions I get when asked “how are you doing?”

Hey, life is too short to sit and dwell on the little things in life that might get you down. The facial expressions when they ask this question look to me like “oh I’m sorry for your loss” like someone close to me as died! I find it really incredible too that so many people can bitch about how they hate their job and how they want to quit.

Okay, first of all, you should be very grateful that you have a job and be careful what you are putting out there. The universe has a way of making your wish come true!

I don’t know what God has in store for me but I’m sure there is a door open some where, which I just haven’t found yet! You know the sayings “God won’t give you more than you can handle” or “When God closes one door he opens another” or “Everything happens for a reason”. All of these are things I live by. Just because I don’t have a full time job right now doesn’t mean I can’t be happy with what has been handed to me!

I’m not one to preach about life and force feed God on anyone but in my eyes he’s still providing a roof over my head, food on my table and I have my health! I can’t say all the bills are getting paid on time but they are getting paid! So I wanted to share with you these thoughts and this:

When you feel that your life sucks so bad that you need to complain about it all the time then understand we attract what we project! I love to be around positive people and thru all I’ve gone thru over the past few months I keep my chin up and my eyes open! I continue to grow as a person, woman and friend to those close to me. They often tell me “I’m amazed at how you continue to keep such a positive look on your situation” Well, I say to you: Why would I want to pull my own self down by fretting over something I have no control over! And if you are a person who has a job, appreciate what you do have! Sure if you have hopes and dreams of moving on from your current position to work somewhere else then do it and don’t complain. Again, the universe works in mysterious ways and complaining, just a little bit too much, can cause things to happen that you really didn’t want to happen to begin with. “Misery loves company” that is one I never knew existed until about 10 years ago when I was wondering why I kept asking myself “what can happen next”. When you ask questions like that you’ll find out more than you really wanted to know!

So the next time you see someone like me, an unemployed person on the street, don’t treat us as if someone has died! Don’t feel sorry for us! Life will continue to go on…

The sun will rise and set,

On that you can bet,

There will be good days with the bad,

And you’ll reflect on what you had,

Treat others as you would want of yourself,

And most of all deal with the cards you’re dealt,

Pick yourself up and brush yourself off now,

You’ll be on top again some way and some how,

Take yourself to your happy place,

And most of all keep a smile on your face!
